The camera has always been his first love. While he was in class VIII, he used to roam around with a camera and dreamt of making a living out this passion. He was the eldest child in the family and his parents, like everybody else, wanted their son to become an engineer. He was brilliant in studies too and he did study in the Jorhat Engineering College. But the attraction of the film and light was so strong that he quit his engineering studies midway and landed in Guwahati to start a whole new life altogether. He is Tapan Das, who was become synonymous with photography in Assam.

He is a good photographer of North East who has sixteen years of experience in the field of still photography. He loves all the fields of still photography, specially product portfolio, architectural and documentary photography. He is well experienced in documentary film making. He is one of the faculties of the institute “PVTI” as the practical in-charge of still photography.

He has passed out his bachelor degree in Design Multimedia from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, Punjab and Diploma in Graphic, Web & 2D Animation (DGWA) from MAAC,Chandmari,Guwahati. Dhritiman Talukdar is now taking the responsibility of the course incharge of IT section of PVTI.

Passed out from RGFTI, Hirak Jyoti Pathak is an very experienced person in the Assamese film and television industry. He worked in various productions as an Editor and specifies in both Linear and Non-Linear Video Editing. He is taking the responsibility of the Advanced video editing (FCP) department of PVTI.

His name is familiar in Assamese film and television industry. He has worked in a number of video and film projects as cinematographer / Director of Photography. He was associate cinematographer in pictures which were awarded in Bollywood and Beyond Indian Film Festival in Germany, Mumbai International Film Festival, Kolkata International Film Festival, Hyderabad International Film Festival and Twilight Film Festival. He was adjudged the best cinematographer in Karbi Film festival. He is a guest lecturer of Motion Picture Photography in PVTI.

Passed out from RGFTI, Amit Soukadhra is an very experienced person in the Assamese film and television industry. He worked in various productions as a sound recordist. He is taking the responsibilty of the sound recording and editing department of PVTI.

Rituparna Sharma has completed his three years diploma in Motion Picture Photography from RGFTI (presently Dr. BHRGFTI), Diploma in Digital Arts from ZICA, Mumbai and Certificate course on Audio and Video Editing from Assam Engineering Institute. He has worked as Cinematographer in various music videos, documentary films, short films and full length feature film. He has experience of working as still photographer in different projects like fashion, event an in film and also has working experience with 16mm film camera (Arri sr 16) Rituparna Sharma is presently working as a guest faculty of Motion Picture Photography in PVTI.

He has completed his Diploma in Motion Picture Photography from Jyoti Chitraban Film & Television Institute (RGFTI) Guwahati.
Dibyajyoti has been working as a cameraperson in various fiction, non-fiction, documentary, add films and short films for different television and film productions.
Dibyajyoti has achieved a certificate of merit from PRASAR BHARATI, broadcasting Corporation of India for “Illuminated Soul”. His movie *“Residue “Screened in Berlin Festival in non-fiction category. He is a guest faculty of Motion Picture Photography, PVTI.

He is a well known lighting expert in the Assamese film industry. He has also worked as a camera person in various projects for Film and Television production. He is a guest faculty of Motion Picture Photography, PVTI.

He is a reknowned faculty of RGFTI and a guest faculty of PVTI. Passing out from RIPE (Jadavpur University), he worked as Cinematographer and Director for many Documentary, Short film & TV Ad.
